Workflow - Comparing Workflows and Creating Workflow Reports

Introduction

Rampiva Workflow allows workflow designers to compare changes between two workflows. This is particularly useful when making iterative version changes to a workflow. Workflow Designer also includes the ability to generate workflow reports for documentation and visualization purposes.

Prerequisites 

  • Rampiva Workflow 5.2.0 or later

Instructions

A. Comparing Workflows

Open Rampiva Workflow in Designer mode.

Open the OLDEST workflow first.

From the file menu, select Compare with Workflow…

Select the most recent version of the workflow to compare and click Open.

The report will be displayed in your default browser.

Items in RED have been removed from the newest workflow version.

Items in GREEN are new additions to the newest workflow version.

Items that are greyed out are disabled.

 

B. Creating Workflow Reports

Launch Rampiva Workflow in Designer mode.

Creating Workflow Reports is a great way to visually view and document your workflow.

Open a workflow from the File, Open Workflow… menu item.

From the file menu, select Save Workflow Report As…

Select an Appropriate location for the report file.
