Automate - Install on a Single Local Server

Introduction

This article describes the steps required to perform a basic installation of Rampiva Automate on a single server and the configuration of a Community license.

This deployment mode is recommended for the following scenarios:

  • Initial step for a Business-edition deployment

  • Running Purview Collections

  • Evaluating the Rampiva Automate features and user interface

Before running Legal Hold Notifications, Rampiva Automate needs to be published on the Internet and an HTTPS certificate must be configured.

Prerequisites 

  • Physical or virtual server with Windows 2019 or higher

  • Local administrative rights to install software

  • Internet access on the server


Instructions

A. Install Rampiva Automate

Browse to the Quarterly Channel download page https://downloads.rampiva.com/automate/release/index.html

Download the Single-Server Installer.

Run the installer.

At the Administrative Access step, provide the username and password that will be used for the initial administrative login.

Specify the username in the form of an email address, to make it possible to use this account for Legal Hold administration.

Once the installation is complete, a shortcut to Rampiva Automate is created on the desktop.

Confirm that you can log in with the username and password defined previously.

At this step, Rampiva Automate will be unlicensed. For instructions on how to register for a Community license and applying the license, see https://rampiva.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/1382514720.

Publish to the Internet and generate HTTPS certificate.
