Automate - Getting Started With Business Edition

Introduction

This article describes the steps required to perform a basic installation of Rampiva Automate on a single server for use with a Business-edition license.

This deployment mode is recommended for the following scenarios:

  • Single-server Business-edition deployment

  • Initial step for multi-server deployment

Prerequisites 

  • Physical or virtual server with Windows 2019 or higher

  • Local administrative rights to install software

  • Nuix license


Instructions

A. Install Rampiva Automate

Browse to the Quarterly Channel download page https://downloads.rampiva.com/automate/release/index.html

Download the Single-Server Installer.

Run the installer.

At the Administrative Access step, provide the username and password that will be used for the initial administrative login.

Once the installation is complete, a shortcut to Rampiva Automate is created on the desktop.

Confirm that you can log in with the username and password defined previously.

At this step, Rampiva Automate will be unlicensed.

Request and apply a license, following the steps described in the article https://rampiva.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/591528036 and confirm that the license was applied correctly.

 

B. Configure the Nuix Engine

Download the Binaries for Windows 64-bit for the latest version of the Nuix Engine from https://download.nuix.com/releases/engine/

You you’re using an older version of Nuix Workstation, consider downloading the same version of the Nuix Engine to be maintain compatibility between the cases.

Unzip the downloaded file.

Rename the extracted folder to Nuix Engine and move the folder to C:\Program Files\Nuix.

Browse to Rampiva Automate.

Open the Settings tab.

Open the Nuix License Sources subtab.

Click Add+ on the type of license source to configure.

Fill out the license details.

Click Add Source.

When using an NMS license from a server with a self-signed certificate, you will receive an error indicating that the certificate is not trusted. The error message will contain the certificate fingerprint.

Copy the certificate fingerprint.

Edit the NMS license source previously created and add the certificate fingerprint to the whitelisted certificate fingerprints section.

Confirm that the license source does not display any errors.

Select the Engines subtab.

Click on Engine 1.

Click on the dropdown near the engine name.

Select Edit.

Change the target execution mode to Automate Nuix.

Select the Nuix license source previously configured.

Click Save.

Wait for the engine to initialize.

 

C. Run a Test Job

Select the Processing tab.

Click Add+ to queue a new job.

At step 1, select the Internal - Lab client.

Select the Testing matter.

Click Next.

At step 2, select the Sample Library.

Select the Sample eDiscovery Processing worfklow.

Click Next.

At step 3, fill out the parameters defining the Nuix case location, the source data location, and the document ID prefix to use.

Click Next.

At step 4, click Queue.

Wait for the job to start running, and monitor the progress in the job panel.
