Automate - Connect Power BI - OData

Introduction
Utilize this article to load your OData into Power BI.
Prerequisites
Rampiva Scheduler 5.0 or later
Rampiva Automate Authentication Service(s) configured
Power BI Desktop Oct 2019 or later
Instructions
A. Updating an Existing Power Bi Template to connect to Rampiva Automate
1 | Download and launch the Power Bi Template provide by Rampiva. |

2 | Click Cancel on the initial Refresh. |

3 | Select the Transform Data pull-down from the Power Bi menu ribbon. | |
4 | Select Data Source Settings. | |
5 | Click on the existing OData Source. | |
6 | Click Change Source… | |
7 | Update the URL to refer to your environments Rampiva Automate OData feed. You can find this value by browsing to Settings, User Resources, OData Reporting in Rampiva Automate. Ensure that you also include the port in the URL for the OData feed. |

8 | Click OK. | |
9 | Next, click Edit Permissions… |

10 | On the Edit Permissions dialogue box, click Edit… |

11 | Log in with a valid Rampiva Automate credential. |

12 | Click Save and OK on the Edit Permissions dialogue box. | |
13 | Click Close on the Data Source Settings dialogue box. | |
14 | Finally, click Refresh from the Power Bi menu ribbon. |

15 | If successful, Power Bi will begin reading the Rampiva Scheduler OData feed and tables. |
