Collector For Oracle Aconex

Introduction

Utilize this article to set up Rampiva for collecting data from Aconex.

Prerequisites 

  • Aconex account username and password.

  • Aconex API Key (Request from Aconex).

  • Aconex project location (ex: au1.aconex.com).

  • Aconex project must be API enabled (Request from Aconex).

  • Aconex account must have permission to access Confidential documents (otherwise confidential documents will not get collected).

  • Aconex account must have the API User role.

  • Windows 7 or later Operating System.


Instructions

A. Installing the Collector

Download Rampiva Collector for Aconex installer.

Run the Rampiva Collector for Aconex installer with the default settings.

B. Performing a Data Summary Collection

Run the Rampiva Collector for Aconex application from the Windows Start menu.

Enter the Aconex credentials and API key provided by Aconex.

Select the Project location from the drop-down menu.

Uncheck the Get Projects Preliminary Statistics option, then click Next.

Check the box next to the project that you want to collect. Then click Next.

To perform a catalog of the items in the project, deselect all of the Export Options except Export Item Size List .

Provide an Export Location and start the collection.

Email the SizeList.csv, SizeSummary.csv and Collection Report.html report files as well as the Aconex API Key to support@rampiva.com.

Providing this information allows Rampiva to issue a license specifically for the designated project and its size.

Exit the application.

 

C. Performing a Data Collection

Run the Application from the Windows Start menu.

Enter the Aconex credentials and API key provided by Aconex and the Rampiva Key provided by Rampiva.

A Rampiva Key will be issued after receiving an Item Size export for the Project. The Rampiva Key can only be used to collect from the designated project.

Select the Project location from the drop-down menu, then click Next.

Check the box next to the project that you want to collect. Then click Next.

Select the Export Options that best meet your output type. By default, all three options are selected.

Provide an Export Location and start the collection.

Monitor the collection progress.
