Automate - Using an Explicit List of Users for Legal Holds

Introduction

This article describes the steps required to manage an explicit list of users for Legal Holds

Prerequisites 

  • Rampiva Automate v6.3 or later

  • Rampiva Automate Corporate License Class


Instructions

Open the SettingsAuthentication Services tab

Add a new Managed Authentication Service

If the Managed Authentication Service option is not available, ensure that the prerequisites are satisfied and that the user has permissions to edit Legal Holds.

Fill out the service Name and optionally the Description.

Leave the checkbox Users Eligible for Legal Hold Administration selected to make it possible to set users from this list as administrators in the Legal Hold.

Leave the checkbox Users Eligible for Legal Hold Custodians selected to make it possible to set users from this list as custodians in the Legal Hold.

Click the Upload users CSV icon to load a list of users.

The CSV file should have the columns Name and Email.

Confirm the list of users and then click Add Service.

Confirm that that users from the list can be assigned as custodians in a Legal Hold.
